TATA Accesorios Globales was founded in 1985 as a small leather workshop in Guatemala, crafting belts and accessories that combined local textiles with high-quality leather. What started in a family home with just two employees quickly grew to become the world’s largest belt manufacturer exporting to over 40 countries.
From the beginning, our focus has been simple: make excellent belts and be an easy partner to do business with. That mindset has guided every stage of our growth.
Our History
1985 – Our Humble Beginnings
TATA starts as a small family workshop in Guatemala, crafting leather belts and accessories with two employees and one goal: deliver reliable quality and be an easy supplier to work with.
1990s – From Workshop to Specialized Manufacturer
We focus on braided leather belts for women and become a go-to factory for U.S. distributors supplying national retailers, investing in machinery and standardizing processes.
2000s – Becoming a Full-Scale Belt Factory
TATA expands into men’s, women’s and kids’ belts, moving from single-product execution to managing larger programs with higher volumes and tighter service levels.
2010s – Entering the U.S. Market as a Distributor
We moved beyond only manufacturing for other distributors and built our own commercial, design, marketing strategies. By working directly with major U.S. retailers and offering complete belt programs—from insights and assortments to packaging and in-store execution—we transformed TATA from just a factory into a supply chain solutions partner and scaled the business to a new level.
2012s–2020s – Strategic Alliances & Private Label Leadership
We partnered with Randa, the world’s largest accessories distributor, combining their global reach with our sourcing, manufacturing and category-management strengths.
Focusing on our “low-maintenance vendor” strategy— flawless execution, fast response times and flexible replenishment models—earned us the trust to run large private-label programs. Today, we manage end-to-end solutions for major retailers, including:

- Inventory management and replenishment
- Shipping and supply chain solutions
Today – Nearshoring & Speed-to-Market
From our modern facility in Guatemala, we produce around 12 million belts per year and export to multiple regions, offering nearshore speed, consistent quality and end-to-end category management for our partners.
